Weighing specialists Northern Balance have added two more feathers to their bow this week as they have been awarded ISO 9001:2015 certification along with being authorised to perform Legal Verifications* of weighing instruments.
Complementing their existing status as a UKAS Accredited Calibration Laboratory (No. 0370), this is a reflection of the proficiency, impartiality and integrity of their company, guaranteeing customers that they can expect to receive the highest quality service from them.

Sam Jones, Quality and Technical Director for Northern Balance, said “Since December 2017 we have passed our four yearly (UKAS) ISO17025:2005 audit, achieved ISO9001:2008 and migrated to ISO9001:2015 and authorisation to perform Legal Verifications on NAWI. This is a great testament to the whole team and the high standards they work towards on a daily basis and continue to strive to improve.”
With the accreditations stacking up the Northern Balance team are looking to the future and cementing their status as one of the UK’s leading weighing experts.
Now settled in their new building on the Team Valley Trading Estate in Gateshead and offices opening in Leeds and Hull, they have continued to expand the team with new engineers, administration staff and a sales manager to meet demand.
